 Today we went over how to write an argumentative essay. The prompt was about changing US currency. I personally think we should change the US currency to represent our current generation. Or at least to showcase people that have greater accomplishments than the people currently on our currency.

 Today we read a poem called I Felt a Funeral, in my Brain by Emily Dickinson. In the poem, she talks about having a mental illness and its effects on her. She uses an extended metaphor about her feeling like she's being buried alive due to this mental illness. I can relate to this because I deal with a lot of mental illnesses and it often feels suffocating. If I let it bottle up for too long it feels unbearable and it's a lot to deal with.

Pop Quiz Day

 Today we had a pop quiz. Due to my absences from the past week, I was unable to take the quiz, but I learned a lot from the review. I gained the knowledge of how to properly answer multiple choice questions by eliminating the two wrong choices.

Thursday, 12/8

 Today we took the second and third parts of the EOC. I'm so glad we're finally finished. I think I did really good on this test. The rest of the day was pretty uneventful and my phone is still taken.
